10% growth of Farmec Cluj-Napoca turnover, in the first three months of the year
Farmec Cluj-Napoca has closed the first trimester of the year with a turnover of 21 millions of lei, a 10% growth compared to the same period of time in 2009. Also, the first months of the year have brought a growth of the physical production and a growth of labour productivity, facts owed to the measures adopted for the optimization of the productivity, stocks diminishments and growth of the level of usage of the machines and training programs developed.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has put its focus on reinforcing the Gerovital brand, through the launch on the market of the revolutionary brand Gerovital H3 Evolution, for which at the moment runs a communication campaign. In 2009, on the face care segment, Gerovital was the market leader regarding volumes, with a market share of 12,45%. Gerovital, one of the most desired and sold Farmec brands, is exported in over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and North America.
“This year we will sustain the growth of the sales through numerous launches and range expansions and through the consolidation of the presence on the distribution channels”, states Mircea Turdean, General Manager of Farmec Cluj-Napoca. “We aim to maintain the position on the market, of leader in various segments, but also a more intensive exploitation of the international markets, which would bring us a growth of the export turnover”.
Las year, Farmec was the market leader regarding volumes, in the category of face care products, with a quantitative share of 31,14% and a value share of 18,71%, on the segment of the depilatory products and hand creams and also, market leader in the category of the household products – on the lime scale removers segment, both as value (40,4%) and quantity (50,5%) and of the cleaning products for the kitchen, as value with 62,3% and as quantity with 57,3%.
